After six months of employment with Agri-Tel Transportation, drivers who meet certain qualifications have the opportunity to lease a tractor under our in-house lease-to-own program. Drivers can lease either a new truck, if available, or a used truck from within the existing fleet. New trucks are leased on a four year term while terms for used trucks vary, based on the age of the truck.

Who is the type of individual who leases a company truck? These individuals are usually someone who does not have a large enough down-payment to go through a dealership. The lease program requires no money down. There is, however, a buy-out at the end of the lease. Agri-Tel Transportation holds back .08 cents per mile of revenue in a maintenance fund. This maintenance fund is used to pay for maintenance of the truck during the life of the lease, but typically builds to close to the amount of the buy-out by the end of the lease. At the end of the lease, the funds that have accumulated in the maintenance fund can by used towards the buy-out of the truck.
The lease program is not an easy ticket to big money. It takes a lot of hard work and good business sense to see the lease to completion. The lease program presents an opportunity for the independent individual who for whatever reasons has poor credit or lacks start-up funds to still have an opportunity at running and managing their own business.
