Winds of Change 1000K Ride

Hi everyone,

The total amount raised by the 2009 Winds of Change 1000K Ride for the SMD Foundation / Easter seals was $11,255.00!

$5000.00 will be going to the power wheelchair hockey group which a son and a nephew of two of my staff participate in. The remaining $6255.00 will be going into the Recreation fund which is made up of various other activities designed for people with disabilities to participate in.

Thank you to everyone who raised or donated funds.

Thank you to the businesses who made the $500.00 donations, it is a considerable amount and even more so with the struggles faced in these more difficult times for all businesses. It had a big impact on the funds raised.

Thank you to the riders who participated in the ride, you were a great group to spend the weekend riding with.

Thank you to Doug Houghton for planning a great route and commitment to helping make the ride a success.
