This year will mark the 4th running of our 1000 km Motorcycle Charity fundraiser for
The Society of Manitobans with Disabilities Foundation / Easter Seals Manitoba.
For those of you who have been involved the last three years we have raised over $35,000.00 and have enjoyed some great rides through Manitoba with amazing weather and people! If you have never participated please consider joining our group who can proudly say "We Rode for 2 Days and 1000 K's for Winds of Change!". With the length of the ride we do attract those who are generally good down to earth people. It’s important for "you" to get involved, whether your riding solo or if there is a few of you come on out and ride for those who can’t!
The basis of the event will again be a 1000km 2 day ride with an overnight campout. Last year we proudly ran a $0 cost event so a 100% of donations are forwarded on to the SMD Foundation. We will continue to operate our event this way.
The Adult and Youth Recreation and Leisure opportunities supported through the Winds of Change event are extensive. Activities include sledge and power wheelchair hockey programs, residential and day camp opportunities, life skill development and independent living experiences to name only a few. These and all other SMD programs aim to improve and encourage available programming for individuals of all abilities so that they have an equal opportunity to enjoy different aspects of community living.
Interested in collecting donations?
Please contact myself @ kevins@agritel.ca and I will set you up with some collection sheets and supporting sponsorship letters.
